Triad is a combination of any three notes and it constitutes a cluster or a block. A Chord is the cluster of notes, which sound simultaneously. The quality of a chord creates a mood and a sequence of these chords brings music alive. There are four main qualities of the chords; Major, minor, augmented and diminished. App shows all of these types as well as their 7th chords (e.g. C7, CM7). Basically a chord is stacking up 1st, 3rd and 5th degrees of notes in diatonic scale.
